I learned
to play Trombone when at school in Rochdale, and was a member of the Rochdale
Youth Band – one of the many local Brass bands. I started
playing jazz when I lived in Holland, and had lessons from Niels Tausk. I
also played with a small combo at the Korenhuis in The Hague. My great
ambition, which will certainly remain unfulfilled, is to play like Frank
Rosolino, J.J. Johnson or Curtis Fuller. |
